Last updated: 6 June 2026

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Shankhnad
News website (shankhnadnews.com)
and our mobile application (together, the “Services”). By using the
Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please stop using
the Services.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Services. If you are under 18,
you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian. By using the
Services you confirm that you meet these requirements.

2. No account needed

Shankhnad News is free to use and does not require you to
sign in or create an account. You can read news, e-paper editions, short
videos, and live TV anonymously. We do not ask for a phone number, email,
or any login to use the Services.

3. Content

3.1 Content we provide

News articles, newspaper PDFs, live TV streams, and short videos on the
Services are curated by the Shankhnad News editorial team and are provided
for personal, non-commercial use only. Do not republish, scrape, or
redistribute our content without written permission.

3.2 Content you submit

The app has no public posting, comments, likes, or profiles. The only
content you send us is through Send feedback or by
contacting our Grievance Officer. When you do, you confirm
that the information is accurate and lawful and that you are entitled to
share it. How we handle what you submit is described in our
Privacy Policy.

3.3 Our intellectual property

All content we provide — news articles, newspaper editions, photographs,
graphics, video, audio, and the Shankhnad News name, logo
and masthead — is owned by Shankhnad News or its licensors and is protected
by Indian copyright and trademark law. You may read it and share links to it
for personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy,
reproduce, republish, scrape, frame, or create derivative works from our
content without our prior written permission.

3.4 Copyright complaints (notice & takedown)

If you believe content infringes your copyright or other
intellectual-property right, send a written notice to our Grievance Officer
(see the Grievance Redressal section below, or
email shankhnad.tv.news@gmail.com) with: your name and contact details;
identification of the work you say is infringed; the exact location of the
material complained of; a statement that you believe in good faith the use
is not authorised; and a statement that your notice is accurate and that you
are the rights-holder or authorised to act for them. We acknowledge within
24 hours and act within 15 days.

4. Acceptable use

Do not use the Services to:

  • Harass, threaten, or abuse anyone.
  • Post spam, pornography, hate speech, violence, or content that violates Indian law (IT Act 2000, the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, etc.).
  • Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity.
  • Break, reverse-engineer, or attack the Services, our servers, or our infrastructure.
  • Use the Services for any commercial purpose without our written agreement.

Violating these rules may result in us removing offending content, restricting your access, and — for serious or illegal conduct — reporting you to the authorities.

5. Push notifications (mobile app)

When enabled, we send notifications about breaking news. You can turn them
off anytime in Settings → Notifications, and choose your language (English,
Hindi, Gujarati). We aim to use notifications only for genuine breaking news.

6. Third-party services

The app uses Firebase Cloud Messaging, a Google service, to deliver push
notifications. Their terms and privacy policies apply to data shared through
them. See our Privacy Policy for details.

7. Disclaimers

The Services are provided “as is”. We do our best to keep them running,
fast, and accurate, but we do not guarantee that news content is entirely
error-free, that live streams are always available, or that the Services
are bug-free or uninterrupted. To the maximum extent allowed by Indian law,
we disclaim all implied warranties.

8. Limitation of liability

We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
arising from your use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim is
limited to ₹1,000 or the amount you have paid us in the last 12 months,
whichever is higher. This does not limit liability for matters that cannot
legally be limited (such as fraud or gross negligence).

9. Termination

By you: the Services need no account, so there is nothing
to delete — simply stop using them or uninstall the app. Any feedback or
grievance you sent us can be deleted on request (see the Privacy Policy).
By us: we may restrict your access or remove content if you
violate these Terms. For serious violations (e.g. illegal content) we may
act immediately without notice.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms occasionally. The “Last updated” date will change,
and for material changes affecting app users we will provide in-app notice.
Continuing to use the Services means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes are subject to
the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Sihor, Gujarat.
